How many times have you and your significant other have gone out to eat or went to see the latest movie? so why do it for Valentines Day. It’s 2015 and unless you haven’t been to your favorite restaurant, seen a movie in a long time (more than four months) or haven’t been out on a date period,  this year do something different.

Put a smile on her face by reminding her chivalry hasn’t died between the two of you. And put some excitement in your relationship by showing him you still got it.

What ever it is you decide to do, spice it up. It’s a new year! Come up with your own ideas or try one of these…

10. A Comedy Club–  This is a great idea for sharing smiles and laughter (good times).  You’ll have time to interact with each other and see what type of sense of humor your date has. Plus alcohol is available.

9. A Concert– Nothing brings people closer together like music. And there is nothing like experiencing great music and seeing artists perform live. You don’t have to waste hundreds of dollars to see a good concert. There are local bands and underground artists who prices won’t hurt your pockets.

8. Skiing– Winter is still here so that means the slopes are still open. Some Ski resorts are having special events for ladies like New Jerseys Mountain Creeks K2 Pretty in Pink event. For girls of all skill levels, there is everything from Learn to sessions to Dance Parties in the Arena all day! Make the best of this weather by skiing down the slopes with your date and challenging each others inner dare-devil.

7. Arcade- Some people would think this idea is only for the young and lacks romance. Wrong! What’s unromantic about having a blast with your date by remembering to live while you’re here. And if you get bored with one game choose a different one. If you’re not having fun in a relationship you’re not going to be happy with that person.

6. Invite other couples over and brew your own beer–  Some couples plan Valentine’s with other couples, like going to a karaoke bar of some sort and double dating. If you are one of those couples you can invite the other couple over, cook dinner and  purchase a brew your own beer kit. It’s something a lot of people are doing these days and can add a little change  and joy in your life.

5. Ice-Skating– This is one of the most classic and romantic date activities for any couple. You’ll be holding hands all day, helping eachother, and sharing laughs and possible embarrassing moments…if you fall.

4. Checking off your bucket lists–  We all have that ‘bucket list’ we want to start checking some things off of. So why not do it with someone you love? There’s probably a thing or two on your list you can do with your date (and the same goes for them) so do them.  Live and create moments to remember.

3. Art Gallery– Going to an Art Gallery isn’t just a great idea for going on your 1st date,  it’s a perfect idea  for any romantic date. If your date loves the arts they would love you for taking them. This is a great way to find out more about that person and it is also a very inexpensive date that offers hours of enjoyment. You can check your local newspapers for local art galleries.

2.  Spend the day appreciating each other: Instead of going out to eat, decorate a room within your home by creating the perfect intimate restaurant. Set-up a table for two in the middle of the room, surrounded by candles, for example. Create a menu with ONLY their favorite food, drink and dessert. Afterwards, turn the bedroom into a at-home-spa, giving each other massages.

1. Recreate your first kiss and date: Nothing is more romantic than reminding your significant other what made you fall for them in the first place. Go to the places where you first meet, kissed and had your first date.
