The 4th Annual Nappywood Los Angeles Natural Hair & Lifestyle Expo was held at the Reef- Magic Box on August 5-6, 2016. The community and cultural extravaganza included the 2nd Annual Boys and Girls Sankofa Natural Hair Parade, Keynote Empowerment Speaker Lisa Nichols, and the 6th Annual International Black Hairitage (IBH) ‘State of the Natural Union’ Live Stream Panel & Think Tank.
The 6th Annual IBH ‘State of the Natural Union’ Live Stream Panel & Think Tank provided an opportunity for industry leaders to discuss topics that currently affect business, economics, and culture of the international natural hair care industry. This year’s #RETOUCH theme addressed laws and state legislation that may impact natural hair care specialists, beauty supply owners, and consumer health.

The 4th Annual Nappywood Los Angeles Natural Hair & Lifestyle Expo attendees mingled with celebrity guests, received swag bags with natural hair care products, enjoyed the fashion showcase, and gained valuable information during workshops. The workshops were practical and focused on natural hair, health, beauty, and economic empowerment. Some of the highlighted workshops were: “Caring for Organically Grown Hair,” “Talk Texture by Creme of Nature,” “Natural Hair Styling for Children,” “Natural Makeup & Skin Care,” and “CEO Bootcamp Workshop Series.”
The 4th Annual Nappywood Los Angeles Natural Hair & Lifestyle Expo attendees mentioned the event as an educational and fun experience. Natural hair care product giveaways and hair styling demonstrations were an added plus for naturalistas! The gathering of leaders in the natural hair care industry, variety of natural hair care vendors, and trendy natural hair models inspired many to plan for next year.
