When you’re living the all natural – or as natural as sanely possible – lifestyle, you tend to hear a lot about detox. Some don’t even know that for basic health you should be detoxing your body. That being said, some detox methods are down right disgusting and have us hollering, “Chicken,” at the top of our lungs. Sure there are things like the watermelon detox (eating a serving of watermelon every single day for a week), the detox tea, and fruit/veggy infused water. But is there an easier way that doesn’t involve getting sick and tired of flavors? I give you the easy liver detox.

The method is easy: Lemon essential oil (I specifically use Doterra.) For easy application I make a lotion and rub it on top of the area where my liver is. (Right side, under the breast two times a day for a week.) Not only does your gut thank you, the lemony scent is a wonderful smell to start and end your day with. This is the best way to continue detox when you feel like you cannot have one more cup of anise flavored detox tea.
