Fall is the time for great television. New shows are launching, modern classics are continuing and the weather is cooling down.

It’s the perfect time to cuddle up under a blanket or veg out by the fireplace and fight the darkness with the light of your TV screen. It’s not too late to start watching these great shows. This is entertainment you won’t be sorry that you get hooked on.

once-upon-a-time

1.) Once Upon A Time – This is an epic show that mixes classic and modern day fairly-tales with the realities of “our world.” There is
action, adventure, drama, revenge and a story-line that is out of this world! (Past Seasons available on Netflix)

2.) Scandal – What can I say? ABC knows drama. This show is fully of intrigue, unexpected plot twists, interesting dialogue and great cinematography. All in all it’s a perfect show after a hard day’s work. (Past Seasons available on Netflix)

3.) Sons of Anarchy – This one may surprise you, but this show is amazing! Both men and women enjoy this. There is enough action and manliness for any dude, and the guys on the show provide eye candy for the ladies. (Past Seasons available on Netflix)

4.) Boardwalk Empire – Of the period pieces on TV right now, this is definitely my favorite. You can get lost in this show and feel like you are back in the 20’s. The story-lines are amazing and the acting is some of the best on TV.

5.) Key and Peele – This show is comprised of a series of sketches and short scenes, each more hysterical than the last. Most importantly it is a smart show, and many of the skits are topical issues. This is quickly becoming a highlight of my week.

broad-city6.) Broad City – Who says girls can’t be funny? This show will have you rolling with laughter. I think of it as a cross between “Girls” and “Workaholics,” both great shows as well. But this one might have them both beat.

7.) Blackish – It’s been a while since we had a good new family show, and I was pleasantly surprised when I started watching this one. Anthony Anderson is hilarious and I think this show is only going to get better.

8.) Utopia – This is the only reality show that will crack my list. The premise is that a group of strangers come together to form a “perfect society” and of course nothing goes as planned. There is no competition aspect, which makes it more interesting to me.

9.) South Park – I have to admit, I’ve always been a lover of the boys from Colorado, but there were a few lackluster seasons over the past few years. That seems to have passed, as this season has been topical, highly entertaining and hysterical.

10.) Portlandia – This show is definitely a different kind of comedy. If you are looking for a fresh take on your daily dose of laughter, then definitely check out this show. (Past Seasons available on Netflix)
