Shopping Malls at Risk

A video calling for attacks on shopping malls in the United States has been released by the Terror group Al-Shabaab.

In a video, Al-Shabaab called for attacks on malls in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. The video was similar to one when he talked about a 2013 attack at an upscale mall in Nairobi where more than 60 people were killed, according to CNN.

Specific malls were identified but unless they respond publicly CNN said it will not list them.

However, the Mall of America in Minnesota is aware that the video lists it as a potential target.

 “If anyone is planning to go to the Mall of America today, they’ve got to be particularly careful.” Secretary of homeland security, Jeh johnson, said.

The Mall of America has put in the effect of extra security precautions.

There is no credible evidence that a U.S mall is at risk.
